John 19:5 - So Jesus came out wearing the thorny crown and purple cloak, and Pilate said to them, See, here is The Man!

Guys love to use this compliment: "Dude! You are the man!". A few years ago one of my best friends Jonathan Moore responded to my accolades in the coolest way possible when he said, "No bro... I know The Man." (I've been using that line ever since and you should too. ;-) So you can imagine my excitement when I'm driving down the road a couple weeks ago listening to John 19 and I realize that even Pilate knew THE MAN.

What you have to catch is this... Jesus walks out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe... and what Pilate says resonates thousands of years later.

Here's what I heard when Pilate introduced The Man: "Ladies and Gentlemen it is my pleasure to introduce to you a man I can find no fault in... He's already been wounded for your transgressions, bruised for your iniquities, the chastisement of your peace is upon him and by His recent stripes you have been healed. He is about to go and die on a cross and shed His blood so that you may have life and have it more abundantly... without further adieu... behold THE MAN!

I have to say just talking about what Jesus did for me on that cross has me in tears as i write this. If you can, please, tell somebody this week about The Man.
